The Esplanade Association is a 23-year-old non-profit organization that works to revitalize and enhance the Charles River Esplanade, sustain its natural green space, and build community in the park by providing educational, cultural, and recreational programs for everyone.

Working in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Esplanade Association is dedicated to improving the experiences of the millions of visitors who enjoy Boston’s iconic riverside park.

FREE Guided Tours: Women and the Esplanade – Service & Tribute

March 28 | 10:30am – 12pm AND 5pm – 6pm

Kick off our guided tour season with us and celebrate Women’s History Month as we dive into some of the most monumental women who shaped the Esplanade! This special tour is part of our Free Guided Tour Series. Join us for a variety of tours ranging from history to public art to photography.

25th Annual Charles River Cleanup

April 19 & 20 | 10am – 12pm

We are so excited for this year’s 25th year of the Annual Charles River Cleanup! We will be rolling up our sleeves and removing trash along the Charles River Esplanade between the Museum of Science and the BU Bridge. Individuals and corporate/large groups can register now!

We have a close relationship with many partners who operate in the park, including the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Community Boating Inc., Night Shift Brewing, and more.
