What is a private Hatch Shell Dinner?

Hosting a private dinner on the stage of the DCR Memorial Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade is truly a one-of-a-kind evening. Up to 20 guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, and dancing on this iconic stage. Dinner includes a full open bar with beer, wine, specialty cocktail, passed hors-d’oeuvres, appetizer, entrée, and desserts catered by MAX Ultimate. Décor, flowers, menu, and music to be determined by the host at a later date. Estimated cost covered by the Esplanade Association is $6,500.00.

What is the reserved seating ticket to the Boston Pops Rehearsal Concert?

Every year the Department of Conservation and Recreation gives the Esplanade Association reserved seating for the spectacular Boston Pops July 3 Rehearsal Concert.Tickets are subject to availability, which will not be confirmed until June 2019. Guests receive reserved wristbands and will be subject to the same security procedures as the general public. Information and wristbands would be distributed in late June. Additional performers announced at a later date.

Does my sponsorship/ticket to the Moondance Gala include tickets to the Moondance After Dark?

Yes, the designated number of tickets given to you as a Gala sponsor include admission to the after-party portion of the Moondance Gala, Moondance After Dark. After the seated dinner, guests return to the cocktail tent to continue the celebration late into the night with music and dancing under the stars. For sponsors at the Visionary, Champion, and Benefactor levels, you will receive additional tickets for Moondance After Dark to share with friends, family, neighbors, or colleagues.

Can I substitute my sponsorship benefits?

Generally, we do not allow the substitution of benefits for the Moondance Gala. However, the first priority of our co-chairs and staff is to ensure our guests an unparalleled evening in the park. Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?

Yes, the majority of your sponsorship is tax-deductible. After payment is received, you will receive an official letter from the Esplanade Association stating the deductible amount.

PLEASE NOTE: The IRS prohibits the use of donor-advised funds to pay for the cost of the event attendance. Sponsors purchasing tables must use personal funds to cover the attendance price per guest (Estimated for 2018 at $175). The remaining contribution portion of the table price may be paid with donor-advised funds. Sponsors wishing to use funds from family/personal foundations towards attendance price per guest must provide written confirmation stating that their foundation allows funds to be used for this purpose.
