Join us for the Annual Charles River Cleanup on the Esplanade!

The annual Charles River Cleanup invites volunteers to work together to remove litter and debris from the Charles River and its surrounding parklands in one of the nation’s largest one-day river cleanup events! In 2017, 418 individuals joined us on the Esplanade, making a significant difference by cleaning up 210 bags of trash and debris in the Park.

The Earth Day Charles River Cleanup is organized by: Charles River Watershed Association, Esplanade Association, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Charles River Conservancy, Emerald Necklace Conservancy, Green Decade Newton, Senator Will Brownsberger’s Office, and Waltham.

All registration is done through the Charles River Watershed Association. Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2018 date!

Please contact Micah Jasny (mjasny@esplanadeassociation.org or 617-227-0365; Ext. 407) if you’d like to set up a separate volunteer event for some time this year.
